Glow Henley – New Festive Music Festival
GLOW Henley, a new festive music festival is taking place this week at Leander Club, starting tomorrow (Tuesday 7 December) with a free Pre-Launch Party local community event supporting local mental health charity, Riverside Counselling.
Tomorrow will see performances from Valley Road and Trinity School choirs, Berkshire & Henley Dance School and two special acts.
GLOW Henley has been organised by Eight Ray Music and Twenty One Twelve Marketing who last year organised the virtual Henley Lockdown Fest in May and Sounds Purple Fest in November.
JJ from Eight Ray Music said, “GLOW was created to help inspire, support and bring oodles of festive fun to the local community. Riverside Counselling is a charity which has offered affordable counselling to the local community since 1989. GLOW is excited to support them.”
Nineties boy band, East17 will headline the Opening Party on Wednesday supported by Ethan and with two DJ sets. On Thursday there’s an Après Ski Party with legendary Olympic skier and TV presenter Graham Bell hosting a set of immersive, enjoyable Skid games plus music from JG Collective and Adam Isaac The Ultimate Christmas Party is on Friday with pianist and composer, OKIEM performing all the biggest hits and Christmas classics for a huge Christmas singalong. An authentic Winter Bavarian Christmas Beer Festival is on from 12 noon to 12 midnight on Saturday where there will be an Oompah band, bratwursts, steins and other traditional Bavarian fare. Dressing in lederhosen and dirndl is encouraged but not obligatory. Sunday will see a family event followed by a Comedy night in the evening.
