Henley Selfie Dog Competition to Win Painting

The Herald has teamed up with talented The Dog Portrait Artist of Henley, Clive Hemsley to launch the 2022 Henley Selfie & Dog competition for the chance to win a painting of the selfie picture.

With many people getting a lockdown dog, here’s an opportunity to get a unique painting of you and your furry loved one to hang on your wall.

The competition is free to enter and all you need to do is to post a photo of your dog with yourself or another member of your family on any social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and tag the post #henleyselfiedog or email us your picture to news@henleyherald.com

You can be as creative as you like, perhaps you could dress up together with matching outfits, make the same pose, include your dog’s favourite toy or just capture a cute picture together?

Clive, a dog lover and owner of Bear a Labrador has been painting and drawing all his life.  He started painting dogs by accident when he retired from being a Creative Director at his marketing agency and has completed over 2300 paintings.

All of the entries will be collated into a gallery on the Herald, with the public be able to vote for their top 5 entries.  Clive will then select the final three he will create paintings of.

The deadline for entries is Friday 18 February at 5.00pm.
