Regatta for Disabled Back for 2022 Bigger and Better Than Before

The Annual Regatta for the Disabled (R4D) will be returning on Saturday 3 September 2022.

Viv Lowery from R4D said, “We are delighted to announce the return of R4D in the Paddock at Phyllis Court Club. We are pulling out all the stops to make this year’s event the best ever, and certainly one not to miss. With racing on the river and enjoyment on the land there will be plenty to see and do for everyone on the day.”

On the River Thames, the Bell Boats will be the star attraction creating competition for disabled and able bodied teams to compete in organised races throughout the day.

For those looking for a relaxing trip on the river, Rivertime, especially adapted for wheelchairs will run regular boat trips as will Hobbs Boats.

On the land – there will be an abundance of activities – refreshments, entertainment, music and lots of exciting things to see and do for disabled people, their families and carers.  Climbing Wall, Punch and Judy, Millers Ark Animals, Circus Scene, Outdoor play areas and much much more.

Mobiloo, with an attendant, will be on site especially for those who require adapted facilities.

The event will open at 10.00am to 4.00pm with parking facilities.

Viv added, “Put the date in your diary 3 September 2022 and join us for a wonderful entertaining day out on and beside the River Thames.”
