Situation Vacant – Interior Design Assistant
An opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and enthusiastic junior designer to assist our Interior Designer with improving the look and feel of the restaurants, bars and letting bedrooms across our estate.
This exciting role will involve acting as right hand person to our Interior Designer and you will be involved in all aspects of the design process, from concept to completion. No two days will be the same, and you may be hanging pictures one day and the next day scouring auctions for bargains or drafting electrical plans.
Brakspear is a family-run company dating back to 1711. We have many pubs in and around Henley-on- Thames, but stretching out to the Cotswolds, London and Brighton. Our pubs range from small country pubs to large town centre pubs, with some serving only drinks and others offering fine dining experiences. No two Brakspear pubs are the same – meaning that every design project is a new and interesting challenge.
You’ll be working in a friendly office environment in Henley on Thames which is approximately 50 minutes’ drive from West London. It’s a varied role so a flexible and hands-on approach is a must, and an interior design qualification and driving licence are vital. You will need excellent organisational skills, and an eye for detail, along with the ability to produce accurate drawings in Vectorworks. If this sounds like the job you’ve been looking for, please send your CV and a covering letter explaining why you think this is the role for you, by no later than Tuesday 5th November 2013.
E-mail: stephanie@brakspear.co.uk
Salary: £20K-£22K dependent on experience.
Length of employment: 12 month placement in the first instance.
