Town & Visitors’ Regatta Supporters Enjoy Sunset Cruise
Loyal supporters and friends of Town & Visitors’ Regatta which takes place every July enjoyed the President’s Cruise on the New Orleans on Friday evening.
The Driftwood Duo provided musical entertainment and delicious canapés including miniature fish n chips and beef and Yorkshire puddings were provided by Stephanie Emma Catering. The cruise went upstream through Marsh Lock and went along the Shiplake and Wargrave reach before turning around. Money was raised for the Regatta through a raffle with lots of bottle prizes!
President, Glen Lambert said, “Henley Town & Visitors Regatta simply would not exist were it not for your loyal support. On last year’s cruise, we were able to look back on an extremely busy and successful Town & Visitors’ Regatta that ran like clockwork despite the enormous challenges we faced. Tonight though, we can look forward.
In 7 weeks we will back on our usual section of the Henley Reach with another packed day of racing ahead. We will be able to encourage spectators to join us again and, finally, I will be able to invite our most loyal supporters to join me for the President’s Pimms Party!”
“This is my Third year as President of the Town & Visitors’ Regatta and it has been a privilege and a pleasure. The time has not passed how any of us would have expected but I’m immensely proud of the way the committee has pulled together and I am confident that we are stronger today than we have ever been, with every reason for optimism for many years to come.”
The Town & Visitors’ Regatta 2022 will take place on Saturday 30 July. For more details go to https://www.henleytownregatta.org.uk/home
