Henley Dragons Win Plate at Cookham Regatta

The Henley Dragons from the Eyot Centre, were delighted to take part in this year’s Cookham Regatta on Saturday 1 September and had a fantastic day.

They would like to thank the joint organisers, Marlow and Cookham Bridge Rotary Clubs for organising the event, which helped raise funds and awareness for charities both at home and overseas. In addition to the regatta, there were a variety of stalls and entertainment for all the family including a silent auction, dog show, classic vehicle display and a wide range of food stalls.

Thirteen crews took part with the ‘Just in Timers’ winning the Cup and the Henley Dragons winning the Plate. As a registered charity ourselves, whose focus is aimed towards youth water activities, we fully appreciate the importance of these events and look forward to supporting the regatta again next year. New members to the Henley Dragons and Eyot Centre are always welcome!
