Thames Valley Police Correction & Apology on Driving Disqualification
The Henley Herald published this article on 18 October Man Convicted of Drink Driving After Fairmile Crash – Henley Herald based on the press release issued by Thames Valley Police. We have updated the article with the correct details and Thames Valley Police have issued this statement of correction.
“Thames Valley Police published a press release on 15 October in relation to a man who was disqualified from driving.
“In the release we said Jonathan Wylder was sentenced after being over four times over the drink drive limit in Henley-on-Thames.
“Jonathan Wylder, of Blackmore Lane, Sonning Common, was in fact less than double over the drink drive limit in relation to an incident which happened in Fairmile, Henley-on-Thames on Sunday 26th September 2021.
“We also incorrectly spelt the defendant’s name, and stated that Mr Wylder conducted a breathalyser test, when he provided a blood sample.
“We apologise for any distress this has caused by the inaccuracies, which were due to human error.”
