Henley Regatta Shopping Guide

Visiting Henley Regatta and looking for a memento to take home? Or perhaps something for your boat or picnic? Need a last minute hat or something to wear?  Well Henley town centre has some great independent shops who would love to welcome you through their doors over the next few days.

Friday Street (at the crossroads of Reading Road and Greys Road where Lloyds Bank is on the corner) is Henley’s hidden gem of great little independents….

Way’s Bookshop – excellent selection of old Regatta programmes, classic rowing books, rowing images from the 1860s, postcards and maps
The Ferret – a treasure trove of antiques.
The Willow Basket – wide range of flavoured water and soft drinks, wholefood snacks, local bakers Lawlors bread & rolls and 30 flavours of delicious organic ice creams with takeaway coolers.
Vintage Vogue – eclectic array of vintage items and clothes.

Pop into Hot Gossip cafe too for a great cuppa and sandwiches to take away.

Duke Street

Laurence Menswear – you can’t miss Laurence’s shop, it’s the one with the fantastic Henley Regatta scene painted on the window.  Brands include Brax trousers, Roy Robson jackets and Loake shoes.
Estilio – affordable range of clothing, accessories and small gifts for ladies.  Hemline not long enough for Stewards? Pop in and find a new dress or skirt here.
Gorvett & Stone – Henley’s own chocolatier with a delicious selection of home made chocolates.

Reading Road

Liz Felix Millinery – hat maker to the Prime Minister, Liz has a beautiful range of ladies hats along with classic panamas and boaters for gentlemen.

Bell Street

Bell Bookshop – Henley’s superb independent book shop, you’ll receive a lovely welcome to browse their extensive collection of books.
Stocks – Henley’s newest gift and ladies clothing shop.  You can find a nice gift for your host family in here if you’re visiting with a rowing crew.
Manzana – ladies shoes including Caprice, Ipanema and Birkenstock brands.
Asquiths (corner of Bell Street/New Street) – World-famous teddy bear shop featuring Henley Bear plus lots of others you’ll want to take home.

Hart Street

Jonkers Rare Books – specialists in first editions, signed copies and illustrations.
