Olympic rower Debbie Flood was the guest speaker at the Gillotts School Presentation Evening last week.

During the evening, students from the Year 11 group who left Gillotts in July 2012 came back to school to pick up awards for academic excellence and effort in their school subjects during their time at Gillotts. Debbie Flood gave an inspiring speech about how she overcame negative feedback and setbacks to become an Olympic Champion, and this was a theme that was very well received by the students present who were part of the year group who gave Gillotts the highest ever GCSE exam results this summer.
