Valley Road School’s May Fair had a Jungle Adventure theme this year. Not only did they have the usual tombola, lucky dip and skittles they had Jungle themed stalls and activities including a Jungle Net Scramble, Panning for Gold and the opportunity to hold and touch some real Jungle Animals which were provided by Owen’s Animals.
During the afternoon there was a school gym club display.
Children were invited to bake a jungle cake and the competition was judged by Chloe Hill-Thomas from Choco Mallow. The winners were Charlie Wall for the Juniors for his waterfall cake (pictured above) and Adam and Lucy Herbert for the Infants for their Jungle Island. The prizes for this were kindly donated by Bell Bookshop and WH Smith Henley.
Siobhan Pratt, chair of the PTA said, “We had a great afternoon and raised around £2,000 which will go towards our staging.”
