Henley brewer and pub company Brakspear is helping its customers to enter into the spirit of the Royal Regatta by giving away boater hats with its ‘Hooray Henley’ special edition summer ale.

To claim your stylish straw boater, you simply collect a stamp every time you buy a pint of Hooray Henley from any of the 27 participating pubs. Cards with four stamps can be redeemed at the bar for a hat.

Brakspear chief executive Tom Davies said, “Brakspear ales and the Royal Regatta are both an important part of Henley’s character, giving the town the unique charm that has made it famous around the world.

“We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Henley at Regatta time than by giving away boater hats with Hooray Henley, one of our summer ales. Although they’re being launched in time for the Regatta, they’re designed to last all summer and we hope our customers enjoy wearing them while sitting in a sunny Brakspear pub garden, supping on a pint of Hooray Henley or one of our other fine ales.”

Hooray Henley is a 4% ABV zesty blonde beer with tangy citrus and grapefruit overtones, ideal for summer drinking.  It is a quintessentially Henley ale, as reinforced this year by a new design for its pump clip, based on an oil painting of Henley Bridge by artist Doug Myers. Doug’s stunning image is also featured on this year’s Henley Ale Trail maps, posters and banners www.henleyaletrail.co.uk

Pubs taking part in the Hooray Henley boater hat offer include the Anchor, Angel on the Bridge, Bull on Bell Street, Little Angel, Saracens Head, Rose & Crown, Row Barge, Old Bell, Three Tuns in Henley town centre, as well as a number of Brakspear’s country pubs in and around Henley.  For a full list of participating pubs, see http://www.communitywalk.com/freeboaterhat
