Culinary Magic at River & Rowing Museum

Late Summer temporary dining at this stunning riverside venue

Fresh from sold out events in London, York and Melbourne, Australia earlier this year, on 13 and 14 September the Chateau Marmot touring restaurant will bring its unique brand of culinary magic to the beautiful River and Rowing Museum in Henley-on-Thames.

marmot-1For two dinner services only the Chateau will pop up in the stunning glass rooms at this David Chipperfield-designed riverside venue. We’ll be serving up a gastronomic feast overseen by new executive chef Ramael Scully, moonlighting from his job as an executive chef at London’s renowned Ottolenghi restaurant group. Needless to say we’re extremely excited Scully and his personally selected team of chefs are on board.

Assembling the menu from the very best of Oxfordshire and Berkshire’s late-summer produce will be Scully’s colleague at Chris-LyonNopi in Soho, Christopher Lyon. Having created one of the best menus to date at the last event in London we’re thrilled to be bringing Chris to Henley. Once again he’ll be offering his take on the Chateau M Modern British template, shot through with his passion for Mediterranean cooking and cutting edge techniques.

Guests will dine on a five course tasting menu with some extra treats for a very reasonable £48 per person. Matched wine flights will also be available, showcasing interesting and hard to find wines from independent suppliers. These have been created with the help of the Marmot’s sommelier, ex-Decanter editor Rosalind Cooper. We’ll also have the famous cheese cart, packed with incredible cheeses from Oxfordshire and beyond as well as the Chateau M signature hedgerow jams, jellies and other good things.
