4birdsaboating Birds Get Coaching from GB Coach

Fourbirdsaboating birds, Lizzie Williams and Sarah Weldon recently had the chance to go out on the river with Lizzie’s Dad, Robin Williams MBE before he headed off to Lucerne to coach his usual rowers Helen Glover and Heather Stanning.

“This was a great opportunity to learn the stages of rowing, and to get used to rowing together at the same time (not as easy as it sounds!)” said Sarah.

“A very big thank you to Lizzie’s dad for the wonderful coaching session, to Upper Thames Rowing Club for use of the boat and club facilities, to Meadows Farm Studios for filming the session, to Keith for the lovely photos, Hobbs of Henley for the film crew’s boat, and to Russell Cleaver for using a remote control helicopter to get some great footage of the girls from the air.”
