HOPS 2014 has been launched this week and will be taking place between 28 July and 1 August from 9.00am to 12.55pm daily at Trinity School. The organisers are very grateful to St Mary’s School who printed the 900 application forms which have gone out to all the schools this week.

Vanessa Lakatos (pictured above), Chair of the organising committee said, “We can accommodate up to 250 children each day but the places sell out fast so we are expecting a torrent of them to come back for processing now! There are some fabulous, hard working members of the HOPS committee who get to open them all and allocate the places.”

“There are some exciting activities on offer at HOPS this year including a first aid course for children, yoga and Divas and Dudes dance as well as football coaching and animal encounters. The ever popular swingboats and inflatables will be there again and don’t forget the brilliant foam cannon and water zorb chicane to finish off the week.”

“HOPS has been running for more than 30 years and I am very proud to be running it this year for the first time, I hope I can match up to the high standards set by my many predecessors and that HOPS will continue in Henley for many years to come. ”

“It is great as well to have teenage helpers who used to attend HOPS when they were little and now come back to enjoy the week and get some valuable experience of working with children.”
