Come and Try Canoeing… at Henley Canoe Club


Running a little later this year (on the offchance it won’t be raining!) Henley Canoe Club are pleased to announce that the date is set Sunday 1 June for their `Go Canoeing Day’ on at the Eyot Boat Centre.  This is part of Canoe England’s Go Canoeing initiative. This will be the fourth year they have run this event and it is becoming more and more popular each year, with Mums, Dads and children alike all desperate to get on the water.

Throughout the day they will be running short sessions (around 45 mins each) introducing you to Kayaking, Canadian Canoeing, Bell Boating and Dragon Boating.  The sessions will be run by  fully qualified coaches and all necessary equipment will be provided.

All day passes are available at £10 each for Adults and £5 each for Children (under 14yrs) – allowing you to participate in as many sessions as you want.

Light refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the day.

The Centre is equipped with separate Male & Female changing rooms with hot showers, security lockers, toilets as well as having full disabled access and disabled toilets.

Parking is available and feel free to bring a picnic lunch.

Participants under the age of 18y years will need to complete a Parental Consent form that can be completed on the day.

What to Wear . . . .

Ideally a pair of shorts and a lightweight top or T-shirt.  Layers are important if its cold -but avoid jumpers that will become heavy when wet.

Lightweight shoes (deckshoes or similar) are essential – avoid heavy trainers.
