Next Stage of Bix Roadworks

roadworksDrivers who use the A4130 at Bix are still being advised to plan their journeys to avoid delays as works progress to the next stage.

Skanska have made good progress on the £4.5m resurfacing and improvement scheme and are on course to finish, as programmed, in December.  The dual carriageway section of resurfacing is complete and the contractors are resurfacing and reconstructing the carriageway at the tie-in sections at Bix Village and the Fair Mile.

Both sections are being worked on simultaneously under two-way temporary traffic signals.  The width restrictions at Nettlebed and the Fair Mile will remain in force during this work.  Some delays may be experienced during peak traffic times and we are asking road users to plan their journeys in advance if possible and allow extra time.

During the resurfacing on the Fair Mile, the B480 Lower Assendon junction will be subject to an off-peak closure from 9am to 5pm to enable the works to be undertaken safely. The junction will be open to traffic outside of these hours.

Traffic needing access to Lower Assendon will be diverted via the B481 at Nettlebed and B480 and vice versa.
