Harpsden Fete – Fun Not Just for Dads on Father’s Day

Harpsden Fete 2014Not sure what to do with Dad on Father’s Day – bring him along for a great afternoon out at Harpsden Village Fete.  It’s not just for Dads though there’s something for everyone and don’t forget to bring your dog for the fun dog show.

Harpsden Village Fete has been held for over 75 years in the fields next to the quaint village hall which is a hive of activity throughout the year. Although the fete in Harpsden is known for its traditional atmosphere with classic games and family fun it has also moved with the times with last year’s earlier start and the introduction of a Beer Tent and lunchtime barbecue proved a real hit and will be repeated this year.Perfect treat for Dads!

Alongside the favourites such as Hoopla, Tug of War and Cream Teas there are more unusual activities like the Reptile Tent and Circus Skills where children can experience something a bit different.

Over £5,000 was taken on the field last year and every penny goes to local charities including St Margaret’s Church, the Royal British Legion, Harpsden Pre-School and 1st Henley Brownies.
