Henley Town earned themselves another 3 points on their travels on Tuesday night with a fine 3-1 away win to Chalfont Wasps at Amersham Towns ground.

First half goals from David Stevens 2 and Warren Baxter were enough to keep the Red Kites in the running for the title.

Chalfont took the lead on 5 minutes when Hide capitalised on a failed clearance from the Henley defence but A Warren Baxter header 4 minutes later drew the visitors level. David Stevens then netted a brace before the game even entered the half hour mark. The first was a right wing cross from Jonathan Malone that found Stevens on the edge of the box and his precision met shot nestled into the bottom right hand corner leaving the goalkeeper stranded.

On 25 minutes Jack Thomson-Wheeler stole the ball off a Chalfont defender in his own box and his cut back low cross allowed David Stevens to score his second from close range.

The second half Henley could of extended their lead especially with the pressure they applied to the Chalfont goal in the majority of this half but it was the home side who finished the stronger.
