The Round Table May Fair took place on Monday afternoon on Mill Meadows.

Morris dancers, music from Lucy Zirins, Little Brother Eli and Khamsina, ferret racing, bouncy slides and fairground stalls were all enjoyed by everyone in the early afternoon sunshine.

Henley Lions were selling plants and had pick a straw game to win a cuddly Lion and the local RNLI group had a bric a brac stall and their popular soft toy tombola.

Angela Perks from Henley was offering facepainting and running a children’s tombola and Dave Eggleton was selling raffle tickets for the Gainsborough Resident’s Association hamper raffle to raise money for the John Radcliffe’s Children’s Hospital.  Dave said, “We’d like to thank Boots, Sainsbury’s and Tesco for donating the items for the hampers and to Soha Housing who have made a donation too.  So far we raised just over £500.”

George Thomas, Chair of the Round Table said afterwards, “We should make be£2-300 for local good causes. This isn’t our main fundraising event though (the Fireworks and Christmas Float are). We put it on for the community and we hope everyone who came had a good time.”
