Children at Chiltern Centre Enjoy Wonderful Activities Thanks to Henley Lions

Over the last two years the Lions Club of Henley have sponsored a Day to Remember at the Chiltern Centre for Disabled Children with lots of of activities packed into one fete-style day, which the families enjoyed.

With this year’s kind donation of £1000 from the Lions, they decided to do something different and spread the fun over the year including some great activities over February half term which included a visit from Quirks Animal Show, Simply Potty when the children made vases using a potter’s wheel and a music session from Soundabout.

Previously the children have also enjoyed a circus skills and drumming workshop, a visit from Feathers & Fur, an art workshop by Connect 2 Colour and a trip to Woburn Safari Park.

Pamela Lee from the Chiltern Centre said, “We are very grateful to the Lions for their continued support of the young people who attend Chiltern Centre and send our thanks – they have enabled the young people to benefit from these wonderful activities and the care team have had the pleasure of seeing the young people’s reactions – they have had a fantastic time!”
