In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Station News in Station Road had its front door smashed.
The shop is closed this morning with a police tape cordoning the premises off.
Outside a table has been set up with today’s newspapers with a note saying, “Take paper, pay tomorrow.”
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said, “The burglary happened at about 4am this morning.
Offenders have forced their way into the store and stolen cigarettes and alcohol.
The offenders have then fled in the vehicle.”
