Laurence Menswear in Duke Street is gearing up for Henley Regatta with rails stocked with brightly coloured jackets, shirts, trousers and ties.
Laurence Morris who owns the shop said, “The dress code for Henley Regatta Steward’s Enclosure states that men should wear lounge suits, or jackets or blazers with flannels, together with a tie or cravat but there aren’t any rules about colours or patterns. Henley Regatta is a great event for men to express themselves and make a statement – the brighter and louder the better!”
Whether you like traditional stripes, plain, paisley or Laurence’s renowned pattern shirts from Claudio Lugli there’s a great choice to choose from. We particularly like the very cool sunglass patterned shirt (pictured above). To complete the look Laurence stocks an excellent range of shoes from Loake, genuine Panama hats, belts, cufflinks and NEW for this year sunglasses from Storm and Steelfish.
“Henley Regatta is one of a handful events where men can have fun with fashion. Since opening the shop in 2011, I love to the embrace the fun too by having a Regatta themed window painted by Charlotte Cavanagh. This year I’m joining Leander Club to celebrate their 200th anniversary with a fun hippo themed window and we’ve decorated one of the 200 Leander paper mache hippos in Laurence Menswear style,” added Laurence.
Pop in to see Laurence at 29 Duke Street, he’s happy to let you browse, give you advice and even organise alterations that are needed.
Laurence is now open during June on Sundays from 11.00am.
