The Kenton Theatre is delighted to be hosting a series of up close and personal “Jazz In The Round” concerts (16 January, 13 February and 3 April).
The audience will be seated comfortably on the extended Kenton stage and gathered around the musicians. These performances will draw you into the music, improvisatory fireworks and passion at close hand, to be punctuated by casual chat from the musicians, who will offer insight into their craft. Audience numbers will be limited so booking early is advised to guarantee your space.
This will be a rare opportunity to witness world class musicians creating sparks as the Kenton becomes an intimate jazz club for the evening.
The first evening features saxophonist Alan Barnes the pin-up of the jazz world and renowned accompanist Frank Harrison (keyboards) on 16 January.
For a chance to win a pair tickets for the first night of the series answer this question:
Alan Barnes performed saxophone on a suite about which famous fictional detective?
