Please can we all remember that the life rings down by the river at Mill Meadows are there for a very important reason, particularly at this time of year when the water is faster and harder to navigate.
Life rings going missing is nothing new and often they are just tossed into the river to float away. Not only is this vandalism and a waste of money, it’s incredibly thoughtless and dangerous.
If we educate our children and grandchildren about their importance, hopefully it will make the next generation think more carefully and stop them from using these life savers as toys.
