Jazz is Back at Kenton Theatre

Jazz is back on the programme at the Kenton Theatre with three great summer events starting tomorrow…

The first of our popular intimate jazz events for the summer season, this time featuring Brigitte Beraha (Vocals) with Frank Harrison (Keyboards)

Brigitte Beraha is one of the most versatile and exciting vocalists to have emerged on the UK jazz scene in the last decade. Frank Harrison is one of the finest jazz pianists in the UK at present, and a regular of the Jazz in the Round series. He is the first choice accompanist for many singers, and leads his own trio.

Saturday 1 June 7.30pm – The Big Chris Barber Band – 70th Anniversary Concert

A different type of performance next but no less enthralling,Jazz Legend, Chris Barber, celebrates his 70th Anniversary as band-leader in 2018 with a Europe-wide concert tour including the Kenton Theatre.

With his 10-piece band, featuring a 7-strong front line, Chris plays a selection of his favourite music, including numbers such Bourbon Street Parade, Jubilee Stomp, Petite Fleur, Ice Cream, When the Saints Go Marching In, and much, much more.
