Fitness Space Henley have raised £1185 for Sports Able charity in Maidenhead.
Sports Able is a disability charity which provides sports and recreational facilities and opportunities to SportsAble members in order that they may participate in sport to the competitive level each individual desires with the overriding objective of enhancing their quality of life.
The funds were raised by Fitness Space through their Fit Camp. Fit Camp is a structured training programme that lasts for several weeks and culminating in members and staff talking part in a race or challenge. This time the event was Tough Mudder at Culden Faw at the start of May.
David Gray, Fitness Space Henley MD said, “Fitness Space Henley is very proud to be able to support such a great local charity. SportsAble is not just a sports club for the disabled, it’s a home from home for it’s members and their families. The money we have raised will help support SportsAble members and athletes on the path to whatever goals they have set themselves, whether that be to make new friends and be a little more active, or to compete in the Paralympic Games. We will continue to support SportsAble as our chosen charity, with our next 3 events and Fit Camp’s already planned. The Chiltern Challenge is next and the Fit Camp in preparation for that starts on 12th June.”
