Over 60s Club Feeling Festive at Annual Christmas Tea Party
Members of Henley’s Over 60s Social Club enjoyed their annual Christmas Tea Party on Saturday. Guests had the chance to escape from the rain and were treated to a fun afternoon of live music, food, and wine.
Throughout the party, Henley Over 60s very own Phylis Vincent performed with her singing partner and guitarist Jane Boyd. The dynamic duo provided great entertainment with some acoustic Christmas classics including “Jingle Bells” “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” and “ Winter Wonderland”. Everyone was in good spirits and sang along throughout.
The room was lit up with a visit from Father Christmas who posed for photos and sat with the guests. The afternoon was wrapped up with a few rounds of bingo and a raffle. The main prize was a chance to help with the washing up!
Henley Over 60s Volunteer Ann Eggleton was delighted with how the afternoon went. She said,” It’s been a perfect day. This is our last event of the year. The four of us in the team have been working hard all day, everything went out on time and the guests really loved all the food and music.”
Henley Over 60s Club would like to extend their gratitude to Ann, who has raised money throughout the year by organising many events, which has enabled her to pay for the Christmas Tea Party.
