Do you know someone who is worthy of the prestigious Henley Town Medal?
The Town Medal is a special award of the Henley-on-Thames Town Council. The Award is a prestigious honour bestowed on someone for outstanding contribution to the Town.
Henley-on-Thames Town Council will award a Town Medal to a person who has enhanced the status of the Town and the well-being of its residents for a continuous period of at least 10 years by their clearly evidenced links with the Town or its organisations.
The person must fulfil all of the following criteria at the time of consideration:
- Either live, or has lived, within 5 miles of the Town Centre, or work in the Town or actively participate in the Town’s organisations.
- Have significantly contributed above and beyond the call of duty to the sustainable well-being of the Town and its residents, and / or organisations.
- Be of mature and good character and a positive role model for all the citizens of the Town.

The Town Medal can be posthumously awarded up to 3 years after the death of the individual.

Closing date for nominations is 7 February and should be sent to the Town Hall or given to a Henley Town Councillor.
Nominees will be considered at the Full Council meeting on 18 February and the award will be presented in April (date to be confirmed).
