Exhibition Inspired by Harrison in Henley
Reading Guild of Artists’ (RGA) Spring Exhibition, ‘Here Comes the Sun” comes to Henley – described as an exhibition ‘inspired by Harrison in Henley’, at the Old Fire Station Gallery from Friday 6th March until Monday 16th March (10.30am to 4.30pm).
Visitors to the exhibition will be able to purchase works of art created by members of the RGA, in all styles and media, with a ‘George Harrison in Henley’ inspired theme.
The Spring Exhibition in Henley is the first RGA public event in 2020, the 90th Anniversary year since the founding of the Guild in 1930.
RGA President, Shiplake artist Clive Duncan (FRSS, RBA, SPS) will open the exhibition. Clive remembers his long conversations with George Harrison twenty years ago which “reaffirmed my high opinion of the man and his music: a spiritual person listening out for the nuances of sounds, a poet and a philosopher with a great love of growth and planting. Our exhibition is a celebration of the man, his music and his life – especially during the time he lived in Henley.”
