Trinity School Supports Local Community This Christmas

Every Christmas, Friends of Trinity (FOTS) – Trinity School’s PTA  organises a Christmas Raffle, and this year they really wanted to support local shops, given the challenges faced by small traders.

Thanks to generous parent donations totally £500 enough for ten £50-voucher prizes to be spent in local shops: Bagatelle, Wild & Rust, Calvert Jones, Gorvett & Stone, Henley Sports, Gabriel Machin, FourState, Busby & Fox and Stocks. They drew the prizes on Friday at their outdoor Christmas social distanced fair and have raised over £1,000 for the school in raffle ticket sales.

The children and staff at Trinity have focused on community this Christmas term. Each class has put together a Reverse Advent Calendar, where children bring in food and toiletries for Henley Food Bank, coordinated by NOMAD. Children have also created ‘Cards for Care Homes’, making festive pictures, letters and cards to send to residents of local care homes who may be feeling isolated at this challenging time.
