District Council Suspending Garden Waste Collection

South Oxfordshire District Council are suspending their garden waste collection until further notice due to low staffing levels because of illness and self-isolating.
A spokesperson for SODC said, “This will mean our crews can focus on essential services including household collections while building resilience in our workforce to allow for increased staff shortages due to illness. As soon as we can reinstate the service we will let you know.
In the meantime – and we know this is not the same – we’d like to remind you that the county council’s household waste recycling centres are still open.”
If residents were hoping to have their Christmas tree collected by SODC, you might want to consider making a donation to Henley in Bloom and have your tree collected by Councillor David Eggleton for £5.  To arrange collection call 07836 202508 before Saturday.

May I remind South Oxfordshire Council that I don’t have a vehicle and cannot use the council’s recycling centres
