Henley Decor Fair Sales Scorching in the Sunshine

Visitors at the Henley Decor Fair over Bank Holiday Weekend were treated to amazing array of vintage items to buy to style their homes and gardens with many doing some serious buying.

From the big and bold sculptures, to finesse small ornaments and everything in between, there was something to suit everyone tastes and home.   As well as things for your home there were stalls selling glamorous vintage clothes too.  With the sun shining visitors had plenty of food and drink outlets to stop and chill out at and the Rebellion Beer bar had great musical entertainment all weekend, giving the fair a real festival feel.

Many of the items for sale were salvaged from going into landfill – we particularly loved the old pinball machine above.   New for this year was a large stall selling bicycles.

Pinks from Epsom were new exhibitors at this year’s event.  Tina said, “They had a really good trade day and there’s been a steady stream during the public days.  It’s been good fair so far.”  David and Nicky Eggleton returned with their Vintage Vogue stall again this year.  David said, “It’s been really good trading, I had quite a few chairs to start with and they went really quickly.”

For those whose purchases were too big to take home in the car, HOT Moves from Henley were on hand to wrap, store and deliver these.

Gary Wallis who organised the event said, “Despite weeks of rain and a flooded venue, and a last minute site change to The Henley Show Ground. The Henley Decor Fair kicked off the summer season of events and has been hailed by Trade and visitors as the Decor event of the Year and is now firmly marked as part of the national calendar of events. Even with all the Covid restrictions in place, this unique event, allowed the Trade and public to embrace the wonderful festival feel for the first time since lockdown! People were super excited on arrival, all with smiley faces, and eager to do some serious buying. Dealers commented on record sales and the public were super impressed with the variation and quality of products for sale. The top dealers, interior designers, movie prop companies and individual clients had a field day, with some coming back to buy for the full 5 days. All in all a great success for the town as hotels were booked and restaurants took reservations from many of the fair visitors.  Looking forward to showcasing the event again between 23-26 September 2021 – see you all there.”
