New Treasurer Needed for Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion Henley & Peppard Branch are looking for a new Treasurer to help keep their finances in order.
Anne Evans, Chair of the RBL Henley & Peppared Branch said, “We find ourselves in the position of seeking a Treasurer to take over from Martin Goodier who has been our splendid Treasurer for the last 7 years but is, sadly for us, retiring. In fact he asked to retire 2 years ago but stayed on to see me through my first year as the new Branch Chairman.”
The new Treasurer will have the opportunity to be part of an active and friendly branch of the national charity, with about 120 local members, and an enthusiastic Committee contributing to the objectives of a well-established and worthwhile charity. They don’t need to be a qualified accountant as its more of a book keeping job with an estimated time normally needed of 1 – 3 hours per week and a concentrated period of activity, e.g. 5-10 hours, at year-end in July.
If anyone is interested or knows of someone who may be interested, please contact the present Treasurer by email to treasurer@rbl-henley.org who will be only too happy to answer any questions. You can also find out more by visiting the website at http://www.rbl-henley.org where there is a detailed breakdown of the role.
