Badgemore School Appeal for Charity of the Year
Badgemore School are looking to appoint a local Charity of the Year which they will support throughout this next academic year.
The school is particularly fortunate to have support from their families and the town of Henley and would now like to make sure that the pupils begin to give back to our local community. The charity will receive a percentage of profits from Friends of Badgemore School events, all money collected on non-uniform days and hopefully some direct involvement with the charity.
Headteacher Tim Hoskins said, “We invite members of community to nominate charities and then we will select the most relevant to pitch to the school where the pupils will vote on their preferred choice.”
Katie, Head Girl commented, “This has been a difficult year for everyone and we would love to really support one of our local charities as much as we can. Ada, Head Girl added, “Supporting others helps us learn about responsibility and makes us more aware of other people’s needs. It also helps us to focus on one of our school values which is respect.”
Tim added, “We want Badgemore pupils to be outward looking and address the needs of their community. I can’t wait to hear from charities in our local community and see how the pupils and families from Badgemore can support them.
