Care Workers Raise £450 Taking Part in Memory Walk
Six team members from Henley Manor Care Home recently took part in a memory walk to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The team raised £450 taking part in the 7km walk, which took place at Painshill Park in Cobham.
The money raised will help the Alzheimer’s Society continue to support the 17,000 people living with dementia in Surrey through its vital services (like the Dementia Connect support line) which have been used over five and a half million times throughout the UK since March 2020.
General Manager at Henley Manor, Ellie Faramarzian said: “It was important to us to take part in our nearest Memory Walk as the Alzheimer’s Society is a fantastic charity close to our heart.
“The team and I had a great day walking 7km through Painshill Park as part of the Surrey Memory Walk. There was a fantastic atmosphere on the day and we were pleased to do our part.
“We managed to raise £450 which will be used to fund research and support people living with dementia and their families.”
