Entertainment will be provided by Daisy Smith and visitors will be offered free mulled wine and a mince pie whilst they browse. A raffle with great prizes will be offer and money raised will go to Sue Ryder.
Julia Carey said, “The first Christmas Artisan Fair that I organised was in 2017. It was with the intention of organising a community event and getting together local artisans in the run up to Christmas and raise some money for charity. It was a lovely event which everyone seemed to enjoy and since then it has become a bit of a tradition for me to organise every year.
Sue Ryder is our chosen charity as one of my dearest friends Emily Burkitt passed away at the Sue Ryder hospice in 2019 and she was the ultimate artisan. This year we are putting together a fantastic raffle with items donated from the stall holders to raise money.
I love Christmas, so I especially like the idea of helping people get into the festive spirit. Everyone that comes gets a free mince pie and a cup of mulled wine (over 18’s of course only!) and the whole evening feels like a friendly, warm, Christmassy event in that beautiful room in the Town Hall.”
