Update 15 December

Road being fixed today. Road closed from Top Shops roundabout to Elizabeth Road.

A large road repair near to 255 Greys Road, just past the Top Shops has started to sink and after being reported by 2 residents on Fix My Street last Wednesday (8 December) has still not be marked up to warn drivers or repaired by Oxfordshire County Council.

The sink hole is now 1m+ in diameter with numerous circular cracks appearing in the last day or too.  One of the residents marked it as urgent and said, “where it was proud of the road surface after repair, it is now lower than the road (it was a very poorly done repair, the new tarmac was about an inch higher than the road, it was not levelled off).

Another resident reported the hole to Thames Valley Police on Saturday (11 December) stating “It is extremely dangerous and should at least be coned off before this causes a major accident.”

Drivers please beware.
