Henley Youth Choir Bring Festive Joy to Care Home

Henley Youth Choir singers entertained the residents of Acacia Lodge care home with some festive songs including Jingle Bells, Winter Wonderland and What do you want for Christmas?

Alex Haigh, Henley Youth Choir, Musical Director said, “It was a joy singing to the residents of Acacia Lodge,  the children had a great time and the audience were totally mesmerised by the performance. I could see walking sticks conducting along, toe-tapping and people singing all across the lounge. The staff were really welcoming and we were so happy to bring some live music into their home.”

Wendy Fricker, Activities Co-ordinator at Acacia Lodge said, “The Henley Youth Choir made our evening so special with their beautiful singing and smiles. It was a breath of fresh air to have the youngsters in the home to entertain us. The residents were over the moon and there were lots of happy tears. We all agreed that the Christmas spirit has arrived at Acacia Lodge at last. They were perfectly behaved (youngsters and residents!) and we invited them back to visit again in the new year which we look forward to.”
