Town Hall Hosts Local Artisans Charity Christmas Fair
The Town Hall was filled with Christmas stalls from local artisans on Friday evening for a Christmas fair organised by local resident, Julia Clarey.
From personalised wooden gifts, jewellery, candles to hampers, shoppers enjoyed browsing the stall for those special local gifts. Shoppers enjoyed a free mince pie and mulled wine and could enjoy delicious Persian food offered by Persian Delights by Mali and musical festive entertainment.
Julia said, “The evening was made wonderful by all the stall holders and their exquisite work that they have produced, plus we were very lucky with singers Daisy Smith and members of the Blue Mic Choir who all came to add some festive cheer to the evening with some Christmas Carols.
“We also raised almost £100 for the Sue Ryder Charity from tickets for the hamper which the sellers had contributed to and was an absolutely fantastic prize to be won!
“We were well attended in the earlier part of the evening but I do think that sadly the announcement from Boris re Covid slowed the visitors down, however everyone taking part agreed that it was a lovely event. We all enjoyed ourselves and the mulled wine was flowing!”
