The Henley Lions Santa sleigh which toured the town and Shiplake on 8 nights in December has raised £5,500, the biggest amount ever in its history.
Santa was helped by 35 volunteer elves along with Shiplake Cubs and Scouts and their leaders and members of the 41 Club.
Mrs Christmas, Henley Lions member Pamela Phillips who has organised the Santa Sleigh for the last few years said, “It’s a fantastic result. Thank you to everyone who donated. Of course while we were collecting monies on behalf of the Lions Club, it will all be donated to local individuals or charities. We were also delighted to bring joy and Christmas magic to all the children and families who came out to give Santa a wave.”
