Councillors Thomas and Crook Nominated to be Mayor and Deputy Mayor
Councillor Michelle Thomas, Deputy Mayor has been nominated to become Henley Mayor at Mayor Making on 9 May at Henley Town Hall.
Councillor Donna Crook was nominated for Deputy Mayor elect at the Full Council meeting last week.
Michelle who works at Leander Club has been a Town Councillor since 2019. She is the current Chair of the Town Council’s Planning Committee. She is also a Trustee of the Henley Educational Trust and Associate Governor of Badgemore Primary School. She campaigned to keep LA Fitness as community asset and was one of the organisers of the Together for Education March three years ago.
Donna Crook was elected a Town Councillor in January 2018 in by-election when she stood for the Conservative Party. She resigned from the party in November 2018 and became independent. She stood for re-election in 2019 as part of the Henley Residents Group. Donna started a campaign in 2016 to save the town bus service which her late father used regularly. She is currently the Chair of the Recreation and Amenities Committee.
