Henley Bowling Boys’ Art Exhibition

Henley-on-Thames Bowls Club members, Nigel Bridges and David Palmer, will be showing some of their artwork during the Queen’s, Jubilee weekend at the Old Fire Station Gallery from 2-6 June, open from 10.00-4.00pm.

Both their styles are very different, with Nigel’s art being large acrylic modernist style on canvas, where as David’s are smaller watercolour and pastel pictures of various animal favourites, especially the feline variety.

They both enjoy painting in their spare time, and this was even more so during the lockdown. Nigel studied art in his youth at Reading college, and then onto an interior design course, but spent most of his time as a manager with British Airways. David was a builder most of his working life but since retirement 12 years ago took up art of his youth again.

In the Summer months they can both be found on a superb green, at the Henley-on-Thames Bowling club, in Mill Meadows.
