Relays Make All the Difference on Gillotts Sports Day

The competition was fierce again at this year’s Gillotts School Sports Day with students not only wanting to win but score the most points for their house.

With many painting their faces and bodies in house colours of Darwin, Pankhurst and Orwell, it was a spectacle of red, blue and purple colours with the spectators cheering their house mates loudly on.

Head of PE Hayley Rogers said, “I think the highlights were the relays as there was some unexpected wins for different houses and because they are worth double points it made all the difference and Pankhurst really did steal the show with their year 7 and 8 sprinters winning many of the races.”

It was a close result with Pankhurst winning over Darwin by 35 points.
