Poppy Appeal Launches
Henley Poppy Appeal is delighted to announce they will be launching this year’s appeal on Saturday (29 October) in Market Place between 10.30-4.00pm with music from Waterloo Band & Bugles of The Rifles from 10:30 to 12:20 and from 13:20 to 15:30 so bring your dancing shoes and ask the band for a request.
The fundraising team is also busy preparing for the distribution of poppies around our town. Soon you will be able to get your poppy from various retailers and venues in Henley and through door-to-door collectors.
The stall on Saturday will be run by servicemen and women from RAF Benson.
Wear your Poppy with pride this Remembrance period to show you care and help The Royal British Legion to continue its vital work supporting the welfare needs of our Armed Forces community.
On Saturday 5 November from 9:00-3.00pm in Market Place there will also be a display of classic military vehicles by the Berks and Oxon Military Vehicle Trust when you’ll be able to chat with the enthusiastic owners, climb aboard and take selfies.
