Henley Society Talk – Life at Sandhurst

The Henley Society’s first talk of 2023 will be held at the Christ Church Centre on Wednesday 8 March at 7.30pm.

Following the Society’s successful and enjoyable trip to the Commandant’s Parade at RMA Sandhurst last Spring they are now offering this interesting talk by Richard Anderson who attended the college from 1971 to 1973. Richard will relate amusing episodes from life at Sandhurst including a wealth of stories about Sergeant Majors and their particular approach to humour. He will also address the ‘Sandhurst system’, and how it works, and will tell of some of the famous people who have passed through its doors. You will recognise their names and be surprised that they were once Officer Cadets at Sandhurst.

Tickets, priced at £7 each, are available for members and guests and can be secured by calling our Executive Committee Member Veronica Carlton on 07802 875379 or by emailing veronica.carlton@outlook.com

As usual Richard is happy to answer questions at the end of his 45 minute talk, and will stay on for a complimentary glass of wine with members and guests to which you are invited.

Places will be limited to 60 and so early booking is recommended.
