Artist Donates Artwork to Rotary Blues Night Raffle
Local artist Kirsten Jones has donated one of her magnificent Henley artworks to be raffled at the Henley Rotary Club’s charity Blues Night on Saturday (22 April).
Kirsten presented the artwork to Craig Wilson, the Club’s President, ahead of this Saturday’s concert in aid of Helen & Douglas House children hospice, NOMAD community group and food bank, and Aquabox water crisis charity.
The Blues Night at Christ Church Centre, Reading Road will feature storied bluesmen Papa George and Alan Glen. Jacobini Wine Gallery, co-owned by Jones, will supply refreshments with a generous portion of the take going to the Rotary charities.
Among other prizes donated to the raffle are a £60 coupon for dinner at the Spice Merchant on Hart Street, a beautiful book on the secret gardens of British creatives from The Bell Bookshop, some gin from the Henley Distillery, and a cornucopia of goodies from The Willow Basket zero waste food shop on Friday Street (below).
Tickets to the concert (doors open at 7 pm) are £15 each, available on the door and from rotaryblues.eventbrite.co.uk.
