Family Affair for May Fayre This Bank Holiday Monday

The May Fayre is back on Bank Holiday Monday for a great day out with the family in Market Place starting at 12 noon.

There will be maypole dancing, Morris dancing, musical entertainment, children’s rides and stalls, fancy dress competition with a Coronation theme plus the Bubble Fairy will be back again this year.  There will be plenty of food and drink stalls including Machins Butchers serving their famous hot dogs.  Market Place will be closed to traffic to make the event safe and diversions will be in place.

The programme for the event is:

12 noon Welcome from Henley Mayor and Maypole Dancing by Divas and Dudes

12.30 Music from Jam and Bass

1.15 Morris Dancing

2.30 Music from Blondie

3.00 Fancy Dress Competition

3.30 Music from Michelle B

4.00 Saxcelerate – saxophone quartet

Councillor Sarah Miller who has organised the event with the help of the Town Council said, “I think it will be fabulous afternoon for everyone to enjoy.”

    if the rain stays away it will be a lovely day. lots to do, lots of places to eat in the marketable, come and see the entertainment.
