New Tenants for The Anchor Pub
The Anchor pub, a locals favourite in Friday Street welcomes new tenants Wes Brewer, perfect name for a landlord, and Theresa Parker, just in time for Henley’s summer filled season.
Excited to be back in the pub game after previously having a pub in Kent, Wes and Theresa are looking forward to getting their hands on The Anchor and meeting customers old and new.
This historic Brakspear pub already has a good food reputation and Wes and Theresa say that they love that it’s a proper traditional pub and that it’s their intention to keep its ambience and its food offering of good quality seasonal pub grub, along with being a warm family and dog friendly place to visit.
Theresa says, “We know Henley quite well as we have friends in Hambleden and we’re looking forward to working with many local producers.” They aim to keep that local feel whilst adding a few new changes including exciting plans for the spacious garden.
Tom Davies, Brakspear CEO, “We’re delighted to welcome Wes and Theresa to the Anchor. They’ve got some great ideas, an infectious energy and I’m sure there be a very positive addition to the Henley pub scene.”
The Anchor is a hugely popular traditional Brakspear pub, full of character, history, and atmosphere and Brakspear are delighted to welcome Wes and Theresa to the Brakspear pub family.
The Anchor will re-open its doors at 12pm on Friday 9 June – pop in for a drink and say hell
