The Henley Half Marathon is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year on Sunday 8 October!
There’s still time to enter and you can even sign up on the day between 08:30-09:15 at the late entries tent.
The Half Marathon course follows a beautiful scenic route through Henley, over the famous bridge, and along the Thames Valley. It is a very popular event with many repeat entrants, year after year. The course takes runners through the town, over Henley Bridge and into the countryside, returning along the Thames towpath; back through the town centre and out to “Heartbreak Hill” the famous mile long climb seen as a personal challenge by many runners. Following the descent, it’s a lovely flat run back to the Rugby Club.
Runners can also participate in the 10k, 5k and 2k Family Fun Run event – there is something for everyone! All finishers will receive a medal on completing their event.
There will be rolling road closures around the town to make it safe for runners.
Invesco, Henley Hawks, KJ Smith Solicitors, UNTLD Beer and Runner’s Retreat, Henley are sponsoring the event.
