Halloween Comedy Night at The Relais

After September’s show saw Grumpy Old Men star Arthur Smith serenade the audience, Honk! returns to The Relais Henley in October with top talents from Radio 4 and Edinburgh.

The next edition of the comedy night will take place at the historic hotel on Halloween night, Tuesday 31 October. Acts announced so far include Edinburgh & Brighton Fringe star Freya McGhee and comedy writer, performer and author Dale Shaw (Radio 4, Painfully British Haikus), with more to be confirmed.

This comes after September’s Honk! – the 10th successive sell-out since the night started in August last year – saw opening act Pravanya Pillay delight the crowd with her London landmark material and alternative comedy icon Arthur Smith receive a rapturous reception for his gags, poems and even some acapella Leonard Cohen covers.

Honk! organiser Tom Ryan said: “Few things have made me laugh out loud in the streets of Henley more than listening to Dale’s podcast Help! I Think My Baby Brother Is Henry The Eighth! so it’s a delight to have him join us at The Relais. And Freya’s standup has been one of the comedy finds of the year for me, hilarious, relatable material with a brilliant delivery.”

Tickets, which cost £10, are available via Eventbrite [https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/cc/honk-811469].
